چکیده

A synchronous presentation of pulmonary lesions Langerhans cell sarcoma (LCS) and histiocytosis (LCH) is extremely rare. We report the case a 57-year-old man with 3 nodules, 1 in left lung 2 right lung. In 2-stage operation, he first underwent segmentectomy, nodule was diagnosed as LCS. Thereafter, nodules disappeared. The residual resected by segmentectomy LCH. This complete resection localized, LCS whom LCH manifested simultaneously lungs, respectively, were completely resected. 37-pack-year active smoking history referred to our hospital an abnormal opacity on his chest radiograph. Chest computed tomography (CT) revealed 23-mm upper lobe, 20-mm lower 6-mm cavitating middle lobe (Figure 1a). 18F-Fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/CT (FDG PET/CT) significant uptake (maximum standardized value [SUVmax], 4.8), (SUVmax, 2.9), hilar lymph nodes 2.6; Figures 1b, 1c). Langerhans cell histiocytosis

Introduction: Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH), which was previously known as histiocytosis X, refers to a group of lesions that stimulate uncontrolled proliferation of cells. The purpose of this case was to report and describe a LCH case with mandibular bone involvement in a 2.5-year-old boy. Case reports: A 2.5 years old boy with LCH of mandibular jaw who has been treated by surgical inter...

Pulmonary langerhans cell histiocytosis

Pulmonary Langerhans' cell histiocytosis (PLCH) remains an important diagnostic consideration in the differential diagnosis of diffuse infiltrative lung disease, particular among smokers. This review highlights recent progress in our understanding of the etiology, clinical presentation, and diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to this unusual lung disorder. Evolving studies strongly link the b...

Pulmonary Langerhans cell Histiocytosis.

Pulmonary Langerhans cell Histiocytosis is a rare granulomatous disease affecting both sexes, with greater incidence in the second and third decades of life; smoking appears to be the most important risk factor. Its etiology is unknown, although there are data indicating an uncontrolled immune response as possible cause, sustained by the Langerhans cells, antigen presenting cells for T lymphocy...

[Adult pulmonary Langerhans cell histiocytosis].

Adult pulmonary Langerhans’ cell histiocytosis is a rare disorder of unknown aetiology that occurs predominantly in young smokers, with an incidence peak at 20–40 yrs of age. In adults, pulmonary involvement with Langerhans’ cell histiocytosis usually occurs as a single-system disease and is characterised by focal Langerhans’ cell granulomas infiltrating and destroying distal bronchioles. High-...
